This Trawlmaster setup is for double rig shrimp trawling where trawls are towed from booms on each side of the vessel. A typical setup has one sensors on EACH door and sensors on the trawl. The following parameters are measured :

-Doorspread – the spread on EACH trawl -Distance – the distance from the vessel to -EACH outside door Headline Height – vertical -opening of the EACH net Catch – catch -indication for each net

Trawlmaster for single trawls can be used on bottom or midwater trawls. A typical system has sensors installed on EACH trawl door and on the trawl. The following parameters are measured :

-Doorspread – distance between the trawl doors
-Trawl Wire Measurement – distance between the vessel and EACH trawl door (indicates doors are aligned)
-Headline Height – vertical opening of the trawl -Depth – depth of the trawl
-Temperature – temperature at the trawl
-Catch – indicates when the trawl is full

Seinemaster is used on purse seines. Up to 3 sensors can be placed on the seine. A typical system monitors:

-Depth – depth of the seine
-Sink rate – rate at which the seine sinks -Temperature
-Distance – distance from the vessel to the sensor

Benefits :

-Depth ensures you are around the fish before you purse
-Depth reduces seine damage as you can avoid the bottom
-Distance allows you to see if currents are taking the footgear away from the vessel
